The Washington Wizards have unveiled their restructured coaching team for the 2023-24 season under the leadership of Head Coach Wes Unseld Jr.
Unseld Jr. expressed confidence in their revamped staff, emphasizing their commitment to nurturing player growth and development. The new additions to the coaching staff, Brian Keefe, David Vanterpool, and Sammy Gelfand, bring over a decade of NBA experience. They join existing staff members Joseph Blair, Mike Miller, Zach Guthrie, and James Posey.
The Wizards’ renewed focus on player development will be spearheaded by Landon Tatum, previously the associate head coach of the Capital City Go-Go. Assisting in player development are Ryan Lumpkin, Joe Ajike, and Pete Fusilero. Daniel Villarreal takes on the role of Washington’s head video coordinator, with Addison Lee as the assistant video coordinator.
Additionally, Cody Toppert has been named the head coach of the Capital City Go-Go, the Wizards’ NBA G League affiliate.
