The Utah Jazz have bolstered their lineup by adding guards Taevion Kinsey and Isaiah Wong. Although the team did not reveal the specifics of the contract, both players have strong backgrounds in college and the G League.

Taevion Kinsey: A Scoring Machine

Weighing 190 pounds and standing at 6-foot-5, Taevion Kinsey had a notable influence on the Salt Lake City Stars, the Jazz’s G League team. During the 2023-24 season, he participated in 34 games, beginning in 23, and maintained an average of 11.8 points with a remarkable field goal percentage of 59.9% and three-point percentage of 51.1%. Kinsey also added 3.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game while playing approximately 31 minutes. His athletic abilities resulted in him securing a place in the G League Slam Dunk Contest at the 2024 All-Star Weekend, ultimately placing second.

Kinsey, a former Marshall University student, departed the institution holding the record for the highest career points earned at 2,641. He was honored as the Sun Belt Player of the Year. After scoring an average of 22.1 points, 5.4 assists, and 1.7 steals.

Isaiah Wong: A Versatile Playmaker

Isaiah Wong, a guard standing at 6 feet 4 inches from Miami (FL), was under a two-way contract with the Indiana Pacers in the last season. In 30 games with the Indiana Mad Ants of the G League. He scored an average of 14.8 points, grabbed 3.6 rebounds. Also dished out 3.2 assists while playing 27 minutes per game. Wong scored two points in his NBA debut on April 1, 2024, playing for four minutes against the Brooklyn Nets.

While at Miami in college, Wong stood out as a player. Also was named ACC Player of the Year for the 2022-23 season. He demonstrated his potential as a valuable asset to the Jazz by averaging 16.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists during his senior year.

The Jazz plan to improve their lineup with young talent and new energy by adding Kinsey and Wong to the team.
