As Team USA gets ready for the Gold Medal Game against France in the 2024 Paris Olympics, head coach Steve Kerr is facing criticism. Critics, especially supporters of the Boston Celtics and Jayson Tatum, have voiced their opinions on Kerr’s choices as a coach.

Dave Portnoy, the creator of Barstool Sports and a big Celtics supporter, went as far as backing France in the Gold Medal Game to show his disagreement with Kerr’s decisions. In reaction, ex-NBA player Patrick Beverley supported Kerr on social platforms, highlighting Kerr’s successful coaching history. Beverley, who spent 13 seasons in the NBA and now plays in Israel, stressed the significance of statistics in a tweet, stating “People may deceive, but numbers do not.”

Beverley’s Career Highlights
