The Lauri Markkanen trade rumors have taken yet another turn in what has been a topsy-turvy period for the big man. Tony Jones, an insider for the Utah Jazz said that the seven-footer would be re-signing with the Jazz after the 6th of August, this is bad news for Warriors fans. That is, however, having a new revelation from Mike Miller, Ja Morant’s agent, brought to the forefront and fans on the edge of their seats again.
Tony Jones: Markkanen Staying with Jazz?
There have been rumors of a Lauri Markkanen trade for a few weeks now and most thought it was going to be the Warriors. The abovementioned rumors might have been finally quenched by Tony Jones who claimed that Markkanen would remain with the Jazz. Basketball fans, especially those of the Warriors were disappointed because they were expecting a massive trade to fill in for the lost Klay Thompson.
Mike Miller’s Bombshell: Warriors Not Done Yet
Then came Mike Miller aboard the “The OGs Show” that was hosted by the Miami Heat player, Udonis Haslem. Accompanied by The Athletic insider Shams Charania, Miller confidently said, “I don’t believe Golden State can be done. If you are serious about contending, they have to make a move. ” Shams also agreed with the Warriors’ interest in Markkanen.
A Whispered Revelation
The twist that thickened the plot was a kind of gap between Morant’s agent, Miller to Shams in a low voice, “I think they are going.” This confused the Simplex mind of Shams and asked for affirmation. Miller just nodded his head in approval and that only angered the fire even more. Unfortunately, when asked for more information on his statement, Miller tried to retract them, but the harm had already been done. The implication was clear: anything big could be in the offing. On this basis, something big could be brewing.
However, NBA trades being an intensely competitive arena, nothing is certain apart from the fact that the news is out. Until then, it is still Markkanen and the Warriors, although people wait for the miracle to happen.
