Paul Jamaine Washington Jr. is an American professional basketball player, who used to play college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats, and is currently playing for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected by the Hornets in the first round of the 2019 NBA draft with the 12th overall pick and was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2020.

Charlotte Hornets (2019–present)
The Charlotte Hornets selected Washington with the 12th overall choice in the 2019 NBA draught. Washington officially signed with the Hornets on July 3, 2019. On October 23, 2019, Washington made his NBA debut, starting with 27 points, 4 rebounds, an assist, a steal, and a block in a 126–125 win over the Chicago Bulls. He also hit seven three-pointers in his NBA debut, the most in the league’s history. Washington defeated the Sacramento Kings 118–111 on October 31, 2019, with 23 points and eight rebounds. In a 110–107 win over the Detroit Pistons on November 29, 2019, Washington scored 26 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Washington was chosen to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team for the 2019–20 season on September 15, 2020.
Washington scored a career-high 42 points to help the Charlotte Hornets defeat the Sacramento Kings on February 28, 2021.
