The same thing was said by another panelist, Brandon Jennings arguing that the statement is false as the current NBA star Anthony Edwards is far better than Tracy McGrady. Jennings also stated that Yao Ming was the player with the best aura in the NBA, turning the discussion into a different angle.

Notably, McGrady once showed a lot of enthusiasm at the prospect of playing as a teammate with Duncan. Recently in 2022, McGrady felt that he, Duncan and Grant Hill joining the Orlando Magic had the potential to achieve different championships.
