Atlanta Dream Move Games Against Caitlin Clark-Led Indiana Fever to State Farm Arena

The Atlanta Dream announced Thursday that their home games against the Caitlin Clark-led Indiana Fever will be moved to State Farm Arena, the home of the Atlanta Hawks. The games, scheduled for June 21 and August 26, are expected to attract large crowds and potentially set franchise attendance records.

The Dream typically plays their home games at the Gateway Center in College Park, which has a seating capacity of 3,500. In contrast, State Farm Arena can accommodate more than 17,000 spectators for basketball games. The decision to relocate aims to meet the high demand for tickets and provide more fans the opportunity to attend.

Tickets for these games will go on sale on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Season ticket holders will have their Indiana Fever game tickets transferred to comparable seats in the lower level of State Farm Arena.

“Atlanta Dream fans are the best in the WNBA,” said Atlanta Dream President and COO Morgan Shaw Parker. “Their passion and excitement led us to the most sellouts in the league over the last two years and have created a demand for tickets that far outpaces the supply inside our current arena. We’re thrilled to work with State Farm Arena and the Atlanta Hawks to create a truly special environment.”

Caitlin Clark, the No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, had a historic college career at the University of Iowa, which has contributed to the heightened interest in these matchups.

Hey, I’m Eric. I’ve been writing about basketball for years, and I still get excited every time I sit down to cover a game or dive into a player’s story. I’m all about the details that make the sport what it is—and I try to bring that same energy to everything I write.
