Mavericks Edge Thunder Without Luka

The Dallas Mavericks, missing Luka Doncic due to a right knee contusion, fought hard to secure a 121-119 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Despite absence of Luka Doncic, the team managed a collective effort to stay ahead, improving their record to 7-7. German forward Maxi Kleber added two points off the bench, while the Thunder relied on their depth, with Belgian Ajay Mitchell scoring three points.

Status of Luka Doncic for Tuesday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans, which counts toward the Emirates NBA Cup, remains questionable.

Without Nikola Jokic for the second straight game, the Denver Nuggets struggled, losing 105-90 to the Memphis Grizzlies. Croatian forward Dario Saric led the way for Denver with a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double. Slovenian Vlatko Cancar, nursing a right ankle sprain, added two points. Memphis capitalized on Jokic’s absence, with Spanish forward Santi Aldama chipping in six points off the bench.

Clippers Handle Jazz, Zubac Dominates

In Los Angeles, the Clippers defeated the Utah Jazz 116-105. Croatian center Ivica Zubac shone with a 22-point, 11-rebound double-double. Moreover, French veteran Nicolas Batum added two points. For the Jazz, Finnish star Lauri Markkanen tallied 18 points and 10 rebounds in a losing effort.
