Jordan Miller scored a game-high 36 points to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to an 88-78 win against the Denver Nuggets in an NBA 2K25 Summer League matchup at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas on Friday night.
A Tight Contest
The competition displayed a closely contested fight, exchanging punches, for the initial three quarters. The Clippers managed to hold a three-point lead at halftime but were unable to increase it because of the Nuggets’ solid defensive performance in the third quarter. Denver was able to secure a few small advantages throughout the final quarter. Nevertheless, the Clippers closed out the game with a 14-4 run in the last 3:24 when the game was tied at 74-74 with 4:07 left, one of six three-point shots of Miller stood out during the rally.
Clippers’ Standout Performances
Miller added to his game-high scoring total with five rebounds, one assist, and one steal. Kobe Brown added 13 points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block to the game. Moussa Diabate recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, along with one assist.
Nuggets’ Key Players
Julian Strawther was the top scorer for the Nuggets, contributing 25 points along with five rebounds, one assist, and one steal. Hunter Tyson scored 15 points and also grabbed two rebounds and dished out two assists. Trey Alexander contributed with 12 points, four rebounds, three assists, and one steal. First pick in the first round, DaRon Holmes II, contributed 11 points, seven rebounds, one assist, and one steal before leaving due to an Achilles injury.
