Wednesday night, the Dallas Mavericks will welcome the Boston Celtics to their home court for Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The outcome of this game is vital for the Mavs’ championship aspirations as they are currently trailing 0-2.

Luka Doncic: Ready to Play

There is a high likelihood that All-Star forward Luka Doncic will play in Game 3. Mike Leslie from WFAA announces that Luka Doncic is now listed as ‘probable’ for Game 3 of the NBA Finals due to his thoracic contusion. His knee and ankle injuries no longer appear on the injury report. Even though there were doubts about his availability for Game 2, Doncic still managed to put up an impressive showing by scoring 32 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, dishing out 11 assists, and recording four steals. He made 12 out of 21 shots from the field and 4 out of 9 shots from the three-point line in a total of 42 minutes.

Kyrie Irving: Stepping Up is Key

Although Doncic’s performance has been strong, the Mavericks require additional output from Kyrie Irving. In the second game, Irving recorded 16 points, two rebounds, and six assists. Nevertheless, he faced difficulties with his shooting, making only 7 out of 18 shots from the field and missing all 3 attempts from long range. Irving has not made any three-pointers in the Finals yet, failing to convert on all eight tries. Irving’s offensive output will be crucial for the Mavericks to recover.

Mavericks’ First Finals Since 2011

The Mavericks have made it to the NBA Finals for the first time since they defeated LeBron James and the Miami Heat to win the championship in 2011. The team and fans are excited to experience that glory again. Another home-court advantage will be provided in Dallas on Friday evening for Game 4 of the series.

Celtics Eyeing Another Title

The Boston Celtics are vying in the Finals for the second time in the past three seasons. Their most recent championship victory was in 2008. The Celtics, who have a solid history of success, are committed to winning another championship.

Game 3: A Turning Point

As the Mavericks get ready for Game 3 against Celtics, the stakes are at their peak. It will be crucial for the outcome to have strong showings from key players such as Doncic and Irving. Fans will keep a close eye, optimistic for a comeback at the home stadium.
