Following a 12-year break from the Olympic competition, LeBron James had a comeback during the first game of  Team USA against Serbia on Sunday. Even though he had a sluggish beginning, James guided the Americans to a dominant 110-84 win at Pierre Mauroy Stadium.

LeBron’s Performance

James demonstrated his abilities by scoring 21 points and leading the game with nine assists. Recognized for his strong drive to win, James admitted Team USA needs to enhance their handling of the ball and cut down on turnovers, which Serbia took advantage of in the initial period. James assured that they would deliver a better performance in the next game by concentrating on making the required modifications.

Durant’s Impact

Kevin Durant, who started as a substitute, was crucial in the win, putting up 23 points with an impressive 8-of-9 shooting performance. James commended Durant for his dedication to practicing, highlighting how it positively impacts his performance during games. The impressive performance by the pair played a crucial role in turning the tide against Serbia’s early advantage. Working together, they successfully made all 13 of their shots in the first half, which allowed Team USA to establish a substantial lead.

Looking Ahead

Team USA will face South Sudan next, after they shocked Puerto Rico by defeating them 90-79 in their first game. The next game will be an important challenge for James and his team, particularly following a close call in their last friendly match against South Sudan. Both fans and analysts will be closely monitoring the Americans to observe how they adjust and enhance their performance.
