Jake LaRavia’s 22 points helped the Memphis Grizzlies defeat the Sacramento Kings 103-83, in the NBA 2K25 Summer League game on Friday at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas.
Strong Start for Grizzlies
The Grizzlies began well, holding a 28-19 lead at the end of the first quarter. They continued their momentum in the second quarter, outscoring the Kings 27-16 to establish a 20-point lead at halftime. The Kings stepped up their game in the third quarter but were unable to narrow the gap, still behind by 22 points going into the last quarter. The Grizzlies held onto their advantage until the end to clinch a 20-point victory.
Grizzlies’ Standout Performances
LaRavia made 7 of 15 field goal attempts and also contributed four rebounds, two assists, and six steals while playing for 34 minutes. GG Jackson added 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Scotty Pippen Jr. contributed 16 points, three rebounds, four assists, and five steals, delivering a comprehensive performance for the team.
Kings’ Key Players
Mason Jones was the top performer for the Kings, scoring 16 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, and dishing out three assists in a 26-minute game. Adonis Arms contributed 13 points, along with three rebounds, two assists, and a block. Despite the defeat, Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. put up impressive stats with 10 points, 11 rebounds, and a block, achieving a double-double.
