The Villanova collegiate duo of Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo are considered up-and-coming stars following their respective NBA rookie seasons, along with former longtime Villanova wildcat teammate Jalen Brunson, who is also now on the New York Knicks roster. Very interestingly, the Nebula which now has only one player, Mikal Bridges, who is now struggling with the Nets team, is light-heartedly picked on by the players who are now in other teams.
The Knicks and the Nets were two teams who strived to pull the victory in their recent matchup. The 105-93 score of the former to the latter exhibits the difference in performance between the two teams. The game was clinched by the 31-point performance of DiVincenzo. After the game, Hart wished his best for Bridges and even referenced a popular meme from Nickelodeon, which once again reminded us of the number of win-losses between their teams this season.
Although Hearty was ribbing in good humour, he gave an insight into the hard time Bridge are fighting with the Nets, whose result, being way below the post-season cut level, reflects the struggles of this team. Bridges whose statistics in the game were 80% success from the corner three, 15 points, five boards, and four assists failed to maintain his past effectiveness and dwindled in productivity and efficiency from previous seasons.
Unlike Hamilton and Rui, who have excelled, Brunson and DiVincenzo have recorded career-high point totals, while Hart has showcased multiple factors through 5 triple-double performances. Through his shortcomings Bridges turned into the centre of attention and the most welcome asset of any team contender, including the Knicks, however, he has 2 seasons left with his current deal and is dedicated to this team.
Bridges has already pointed out his college alma mater Villanova as well as mentioned a desire to experience similar real-life situations during an NBA season. Although Josh Hart comedic example alludes to trading Bridges and the Knicks, nevertheless a player like Hart the team remains loyal to Brooklyn, while he learns his ropes in the association among his former college buddies onto whom he counts.
