In a display of frustration with officiating, Sacramento Kings’ coach Mike Brown took an unconventional approach to critique referees after being ejected during the team’s overtime loss to the Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Forum. Brown’s ejection occurred in the early fourth quarter when he vehemently protested a call to referee Intae Hwang, resulting in him storming onto the court and engaging in a heated exchange.
Undeterred by his ejection, Brown utilized the remainder of the game to meticulously compile a critique. Armed with a laptop, he presented video clips during the postgame news conference to highlight perceived mistakes made by the referees. Coach Mike Brown specifically pointed out two plays, including a foul drawn by Bucks star Damian Lillard on a 3-point attempt in the third quarter and a non-call on the Bucks’ Cam Payne hooking De’Aaron Fox in the fourth quarter.

Unlike some coaches who have resorted to explosive rants, Brown maintained a relatively calm demeanor throughout his critique. However, given the use of a prop and the open criticism of officials, it is anticipated that the NBA may impose a fine on Brown in the coming days.
Despite the contentious officiating, the Kings staged a comeback from a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter, forcing overtime. The game ended in a thrilling 143-142 victory for the Bucks, sealed by a deep buzzer-beater from Damian Lillard. De’Aaron Fox led the Kings with 32 points, supported by Malik Monk’s 28 points off the bench and Kevin Huerter’s 26 points. The Kings now head into their next game against the Phoenix Suns after losing two consecutive games and currently hold the sixth position in the Western Conference standings.
On the Bucks’ side, Lillard contributed 29 points and eight assists, while Giannis Antetokounmpo secured a triple-double with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. Malik Beasley added 23 points as the Bucks extended their winning streak to three games.
