Bucks head coach Doc Rivers revealed Middleton participated in a full five-on-five practice earlier this week. “He’s been frustrated watching from the sidelines,” Rivers said. “It’s mentally challenging for a player like Khris, especially when the team needs his experience and leadership.”

The 33-year-old forward has struggled with injuries in recent years, appearing in only 33 games during the 2022-23 season and 55 games last season. A sprained MCL in 2022 forced him to miss the Bucks’ last 10 playoff games. Middleton demonstrated his value during last season’s playoffs. With Giannis Antetokounmpo sidelined, Middleton stepped up, averaging 24.7 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists in the Bucks’ first-round series against the Pacers.
