As the Minnesota Timberwolves prepare for the upcoming NBA season, Julius Randle showers teammate Anthony Edwards with compliments. During a recent interview, Randle expressed his respect for the young star, referring to him as a “generational talent” and foreseeing a promising future for the 23-year-old. Randle informed Wolves radio broadcaster Alan Horton that Ant picked him up on his shoulder for whatever he required. “I will be there soon…” Every night, he has a dog by his side that will challenge him in competition.
Randle continued, saying, “You don’t often have the opportunity to play alongside a player of his caliber… he has the potential to become one of the best players in history. “He is incredibly skilled.”
Edwards Eyes MVP Trophy
After the Timberwolves reached the Western Conference Finals for the first time in twenty years, Edwards is aiming high for his own performance. When questioned about his desire to be MVP, Edwards replied confidently: “Yes, absolutely, without a doubt [that I have what it takes to be the MVP in the league].” He attributed his team, coaching staff, and organization for establishing the ideal setting for him to pursue the prestigious award. “Now it is my responsibility to ensure it occurs.” I am absolutely going to do it.
New Faces, New Challenges for Minnesota
The Timberwolves will have a new obstacle. To overcome this season with the departure of Karl-Anthony Towns to the New York Knicks. Minnesota received Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo, and a first-round draft pick in exchange. Although Towns was important in the previous playoff run. Randle’s presence provides veteran leadership. That could assist Edwards and the Timberwolves in reaching the next level towards a championship.
