Judah Mintz, ex-Syracuse basketball player, has secured a spot with the Philadelphia 76ers for the NBA summer. Mintz’s name appeared on the Sixers Summer League lineup announced on Wednesday through the team’s social media page.

Mintz’s College Career

The guard, who stood at 6’3″, was not chosen in the recent NBA Draft, making it the fourth consecutive season without a Syracuse player being drafted. Judah Mintz participated in two seasons at Syracuse before deciding to give up his two remaining years of NCAA eligibility. During his second season in 2023-24, he maintained averages of 18.8 points, 4.4 assists, and 2.1 steals per game. He also ranked second in scoring in the ACC, receiving a second-team All-ACC honor.

Summer League Schedule

The Sixers are set to compete in the Salt Lake City Summer League from July 8-10, allowing Orange supporters to see Mintz in action. The Sixers will start their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday, July 8 at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN, with Mintz facing Buddy Boeheim, who just signed a Summer League deal with the Thunder. Following that, the 76ers will play against the Memphis Grizzlies on July 9 at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN and the Utah Jazz on July 10 at 9:00 p.m. on ESPN2.

Las Vegas Summer League

The NBA’s Las Vegas Summer League takes place from July 12 to July 22. Several more players with past connections to Syracuse will be taking part in the Summer League. Such as Jesse Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves), Boeheim (Oklahoma City Thunder), Joe Girard III (Toronto Raptors), and Quincy Guerrier (Toronto Raptors).

Mintz’s involvement in the Summer League offers an opportunity. To display his abilities and maybe earn a place on an NBA team.
