The NBA offseason will go on, and the Philadelphia 76ers organization has extended their lineup to a young new star. Philadelphia 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey made the sixth signing official on Sunday by signing Judah Mintz, a Syracuse University alum. The signing of the deal meant that Mintz stepped up from the NBA Development League as part of the Exhibit 10 contract. Although the journey only appears to be getting harder from here, this 21-year-old guard is willing to give his best and fight for the shot.
Judah Mintz’s College Journey: A Star in the Making
Mintz’s college years at Syracuse University were quite a success as he… In two years of American football, he participated in 64 games actively as a key member of the team. A prolific scorer and good playmaker, Mintz garnered an average of 16 points, 5 assists, and 2 rebounds in his playing years. Since his field goal accuracy was 44%, he was an imperative member of the Syracuse team, and his performance in his sophomore year reached 19 points and 3 rebounds on average.
Despite being a talented player, Mintz will still not be drafted in the 2024 NBA draft. Although he played for the Sixers in the Summer League, he got another interesting opportunity for this team.
Mintz’s Reaction: A Journey Just Beginning
For his part, after the official signing, Mintz expressed his feelings on his Instagram story using a song by Rod Wave known as Long Journey. This tender decision indicates that the young guard realizes that his climb to the NBA is not over yet.
This formula’s Exhibit 10 deal means that Judah Mintz will be with the Delaware Blue Coats, the Philadelphia 76ers’ affiliate team, for the NBA G League season starting next year, 2024-2025. The process is arduous, and the goal highly attainable, but if Mintz perseveres, there may be a day when he will practice with an NBA team, a long-held dream of the young man.
