The Philadelphia 76ers must delay watching their new dynamic duo, Joel Embiid and Paul George, in action. Both players were deemed ineligible for the season’s first game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday. Embiid is recuperating from knee surgery, while George is still in the process of recovering from a bone bruise in his left knee.

Injury Management for Embiid

Embiid, recently aiding the United States in winning Olympic gold, sat out the entire preseason to oversee his knee that had been repaired through surgery. He is also unavailable for matches against the Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers this week. Coach Nick Nurse said, “Once we can start them scrimmaging and increase their intensity, we will involve them in the game.”

Paul George’s Slow Return

Paul George, a player who has been selected as an All-Star nine times, signed with the Sixers during the current offseason as a free agent. He has not played since he got hurt in a preseason match with a knee injury. The Sixers are eagerly anticipating his comeback to help establish chemistry with Embiid.

Looking Ahead

Embiid, who only appeared in 39 matches last season because of a torn meniscus. It has caused discussion by suggesting he might no longer participate in consecutive games. In spite of these obstacles, the Sixers remain hopeful about the future of their star duo. The team is diligently overseeing the recoveries of both players, anticipating their imminent impact.
Fans will need to be patient for Embiid and George to play together. But the possibility of a successful season is still promising upon their comeback.
