In the latter half, Memphis ramped up their defensive effort, holding the 76ers to only 36 points. Wells secured the hard-earned win with a last-second shot after Isaiah Miller missed.

Wells contributed 27 points, six rebounds, three assists, and one steal to lead the Grizzlies. Another rookie, Cam Spencer, contributed with 18 points, eight assists, seven rebounds, and one steal. DeJon Jarreau added 12 points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished out four assists, stole the ball twice, and blocked one shot. Both Miller and Timmy Allen contributed eight points each, with Miller also tallying eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
