Jaylen Brown, the Boston Celtics star, is not only making waves on the basketball court but also in the music industry. Fresh off a phenomenal year where he played a pivotal role in securing the Celtics’ 18th championship, Brown has teamed up with rapper A$AP Ferg to release a new track titled “Just Do It.”

This year has been particularly rewarding for Brown. In addition to leading the Celtics to victory, he earned the titles of Eastern Conference Finals MVP and NBA Finals MVP. But his talents extend beyond the hardwood, as evidenced by his latest musical endeavour.

Brown’s new song “Just Do It” is a nod to his complex relationship with Nike, although the track itself doesn’t directly mention the brand. However, the music video opens with a subtle reference to the Brown-Nike Olympics controversy. This summer, Brown found himself at the center of a debate when it was speculated that Nike’s influence might have contributed to his exclusion from Team USA’s Olympic basketball roster after Kawhi Leonard’s withdrawal. Instead, Brown’s Celtics teammate, Derrick White, was selected.

The Celtics star’s venture into music shows his versatility and willingness to explore new avenues. While fans are enjoying his latest track, they are also eagerly anticipating the start of the new NBA season. The Celtics will head into training camp next month, gearing up to defend their title when the season kicks off on October 22 against the New York Knicks.

Jaylen Brown continues to show that he’s more than just a basketball player—he’s an artist and a voice, using his platform to make statements both on and off the court.
