Experienced forward Jae Crowder could potentially join another team on his list of past employers in the near future. According to reports from Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 in Northern California, Crowder, 34, is scheduled to practice with the Sacramento Kings this week. Following two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, during which his impact was constrained by injuries, Crowder is seeking a new beginning.
Inconsistent Impact in Milwaukee
Jae Crowder appeared in 68 games for the Bucks in two seasons, with an average of 6.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game. He assumed the role of a starter 25 times in the 2023-24 season, taking the place of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton who were injured. Nevertheless, Crowder’s personal health became a concern. An injury to his left adductor kept him out for two months, greatly reducing how much he could participate. Crowder characterized the injury as a painful “pulling sensation,” which made running or lifting his leg difficult.
A New Opportunity with Sacramento?
Although having a more significant role in the previous season for Milwaukee. The Bucks chose to take a different path. By introducing new players to complement their core trio of Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Middleton. Crowder is now looking for a new team. If he performs well during his Kings tryout, he may end up in Sacramento next.
A Well-Traveled Career
Crowder has worked in various NBA cities throughout his career. Prior to his time in Milwaukee, he had stints with the Mavericks, Celtics, Cavaliers, Jazz, Heat, Grizzlies, and Suns. Currently, the Sacramento Kings could be the most recent entry on his list of accomplishments if he secures a deal. Crowder’s adaptability and years of experience make him a valuable asset for any team looking for a seasoned player.
