Many people see turning 23 as just a regular birthday, but for Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, it signified a shift in his NBA journey. On November 3, 2023, he agreed to a two-way deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, choosing a more favorable chance over competing offers. A few days after that, he started his first game, scoring 11 points and getting nine rebounds against Minnesota.

Preparation for a New Season

Robinson-Earl’s debut with the Pelicans began tardily, skipping preseason, however, this summer has presented a new dynamic. He dedicated months to getting ready, training with fellow players, and perfecting his skills. “He mentioned the significance of every summer.” During this offseason, my main goal has been to improve myself in order to make a valuable contribution to the team.

Sharpening His Three-Point Shot

His three-point shooting has been a major area of emphasis. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl has accepted the contemporary NBA, in which tall players must be able to shoot from far away. Last season, he achieved a 33% shooting rate from three-point range and is committed to getting better. “I was limited to playing near the basket when I was young,” he said, “but when I joined Villanova, I began focusing on improving my shooting skills from the outside.”

Welcoming Dejounte Murray to the Team

The Pelicans underwent major roster adjustments, one of which involved acquiring All-Star point guard Dejounte Murray through a trade. Robinson-Earl has been amazed by Murray’s strong will to compete. Robinson-Earl mentioned that he possesses a very determined mindset. “We have spent time at the gym together, and he will simplify the game for everyone.”

With a new lineup and strong determination. Robinson-Earl is prepared to leave his mark on the Pelicans in the upcoming season.
