Draw Seeds for the FIBA Eurobasket 2025 Have Been Confirmed

Berlin, Germany – Prior to the draw on August 8 in Munich, Germany, the seeds for the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers have now been determined.

After the Pre-Qualifiers on Saturday, the field was determined to consist of 32 nations, including the co-hosts of the Final Round, Cyprus, Finland, Latvia, and Poland. Eight groups of four teams each will be chosen, and a home-and-away round-robin format will be used.

The following are the draw’s seedings, which are determined by the FIBA World Ranking Men, presented by Nike:

Seed 1: Serbia, Slovenia, France, Spain

Seed 2: Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Greece, and

Seed 3: Montenegro, Turkey, Poland, Czech Republic,

Seed 4: Ukraine, Latvia, Finland, Croatia

Seed 5: Israel, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Belgium, Georgia, and

Seed 6: Netherlands, Bulgaria, Hungary, Estonia, and

Seed 7: Sweden, North Macedonia, Iceland, and the United Kingdom

Seed 8: Cyprus, Portugal, Denmark, Slovakia

Teams from Seed 1 will be placed in Groups A, C, E, and G with teams from Seed 4, Seed 5, and Seed 8, while teams from Seed 2 will be placed in Groups B, D, F, and H with teams from Seed 3, Seed 6, and Seed 7.

Each group can only have one host for the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Final Round.

Each team will play two games during each of the three windows, which are February 19–27, 2024; November 18–26; and February 17–25, 2025, for the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers.

Except for the groups that feature FIBA EuroBasket 2025 co-hosts Cyprus, Finland, Poland, and Latvia, the top three teams from each group will advance to the Final Round. The host nation and the two additional teams with the highest finishes will qualify for the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 in the groups that include the host countries.
