Some other supporters believed that the statue resembled Laurence Fishburne or possibly the antagonist from The Mask. Even though there were criticisms. Wade gave his consent to the final outcome. Expressing his appreciation for being able to shape the statue’s appearance.

The statue of Wade commemorates his impact on Miami and the NBA. Wade played for the Heat from 2003 to 2016 and returned in his last season in 2018-2019, becoming the team’s top scorer, assist provider, and steals leader of all time. Wade’s lasting impact on the court is showcased through his career averages of 22 points, 5.4 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.5 steals. Solidifying his legacy with Miami and reminding fans of his unforgettable influence.
