As Duke basketball prepares for its highly anticipated matchup against Kentucky in the Champions Classic, head coach Jon Scheyer is also looking ahead to the future, focusing on key recruits for the 2025 class. The Blue Devils will have a fresh look in the 2024-25 season, with 10 new players joining the roster, but the recruiting trail never stops. Here’s an update on four top prospects for Duke’s 2025 recruiting class. Including Shelton Henderson

Duke Basketball Eyeing Shelton Henderson as a Top Target

Shelton Henderson, a 6-foot-5 small forward from Texas, is a top-25 national recruit according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. With Duke among his final six schools, Henderson is scheduled for an official visit to Durham during Countdown to Craziness on October 4. The Blue Devils are seen as the frontrunners to land Henderson, who could become the next standout wing for Scheyer’s squad.

Dwayne Aristode: A Rising Star from the Netherlands

Dwayne Aristode, a 6-foot-7 wing playing at Brewster Academy, is another top target for Duke. Ranked No. 18 in the 247Sports Composite, Aristode is scheduled to visit Michigan State in late August and Duke in September. Although Aristode has not yet received an official scholarship offer from the Blue Devils, his rising status in the 2025 class makes him a key player to watch.

Braylon Mullins: Indiana Sharpshooter on Duke’s Radar

Indiana native Braylon Mullins is a top-100 player nationally and a top-5 shooting guard in the 2025 class, according to 247Sports. Despite flying somewhat under the radar, Mullins has scheduled visits to both Duke and North Carolina. His shooting prowess makes him an intriguing prospect for Scheyer as he builds the Blue Devils’ future backcourt.

Acaden Lewis Among Duke’s Top Guard Prospects

Acaden Lewis, one of the top point guards in the 2025 class, has Duke among his final eight schools. The combo guard from the DMV visited Durham on August 6 and has another official visit planned for the fall. Lewis has seen his stock rise dramatically, moving from just inside the top 100 in 247Sports’ rankings to closing in on the top 25. His versatile skill set makes him a prime target for Duke.

As the recruiting trail heats up, these four players represent key targets for Duke basketball’s future. Keep an eye on how these prospects’ decisions unfold as Scheyer and his staff work to secure another strong recruiting class for the Blue Devils.
