Jeff Peterson, the President of Basketball Operations for the Charlotte Hornets, team has officially added Tidjane Salaün to their roster, who was selected as the sixth overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Although the details of the agreement are not revealed, the signing is a noteworthy inclusion to the Hornets’ lineup.

Salaün’s Impressive Background

Salaün originates from Paris and he has excellent statistics from his experience playing with Cholet Basket in the LNB Elite league, France’s top division. During this season, he maintained an average of 9.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in 54 games, with 40 of them being starts. Before that, he demonstrated his skills in France’s U21 league with Espoirs Cholet, where he averaged 11.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.0 steals in 63 games.

Salaün, who is 6-9 tall, received the Best Young Player award in the 2023-24. Basketball Champions League and was named MVP at the 2023 Trophy of the Future competition. His noteworthy global experience includes attending the 2023 Basketball Without Borders camp in Indianapolis. During All-Star weekend and competing for France in the 2023 FIBA U18 European Championship.
