Cade Cunningham is having his most impressive season yet, solidifying his position as one of the NBA’s most multifaceted players. He is currently achieving his highest career averages with 23.3 points, 8.8 assists, and 7.3 rebounds, with a notable 37.1% three-point shooting percentage. He is in rare company with Nikola Jokić and LeBron James, being one of just three players this season with 23+ points, 8+ assists, and 7+ rebounds on average.

Praise from Coach Bickerstaff

Detroit Pistons head coach J.B. Bickerstaff had high hopes for Cunningham at the start of the season. Bickerstaff expressed confidence that there are no limits to where he will be able to go. I believe he is very attractive. I believe there are few things he cannot accomplish on the basketball court. Cunningham has followed through on those words, leading the charge for Detroit’s better beginning.

Pistons’ Playoff Push

The Pistons have started the season with a surprising 7-9 record, reaching their seventh win by November just like last season. Cunningham’s guidance has helped them stay in the playoff race in the Eastern Conference, a significant improvement from their difficulties last season.

Triple-Double Machine

This season, Cunningham has also emerged as a player who can achieve a triple-double. In November alone, he scored four goals, surpassing the total from his first three seasons combined. He had an exceptional game on November 6 against the Charlotte Hornets, recording 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. Even though Detroit was defeated by a buzzer-beater from Brandon Miller in that game. Cunningham’s overall outstanding performance was still evident.

Cade Cunningham is demonstrating that he is the foundational piece of Detroit’s future, and his successful year is only the start of what lies ahead.
