Prosecutors have determined that there was insufficient evidence and a lack of corroborating witnesses to pursue criminal charges in this case.
The allegations against McGregor included claims of forced sexual acts and inappropriate physical contact at the Kaseya Center during Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Surveillance footage showed McGregor leading the woman into a bathroom, and his security staff prevented others from entering the area.
According to the prosecutors’ report, a bathroom attendant confirmed seeing McGregor and the woman enter a bathroom stall together but did not hear any signs of distress. Additionally, the woman initially inquired about a settlement or payment when she first made the accusations. Furthermore, the two were spotted together at a club inside the Heat’s arena after the alleged incident.
McGregor has consistently denied the allegations against him and, after a comprehensive investigation, it has been concluded that there is no basis to pursue a case against him.
This incident was one of several accusations of sexual assault made against McGregor during his career, but he has not faced legal consequences as a result. Following the incident during the NBA Finals, McGregor was involved in an on-court stunt that led to the hospitalization of the Miami Heat mascot performer.
Conor McGregor has not competed in a fight since July 2021 when he suffered a leg injury in a match against Dustin Poirier. He is ineligible for competition in 2023 due to his failure to register with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. While there is speculation about a future fight against Michael Chandler, no official confirmation has been provided.
