The current trade proposal from the LA Clippers for James Harden has been disclosed by Adrian Wojnarowski. Although the trade between the LA Clippers and the Philadelphia 76ers for James Harden has not yet been finalized, it seems that new information is emerging daily.
Current Trade Proposal from the LA Clippers for James Harden
According to Wojnarowski’s latest update, the LA Clippers have presented the 76ers with what is, by far, the most substantial offer for James Harden. Their proposal includes a first-round draft pick, a pick swap, and expiring contracts. Among the expiring contracts offered by the LA Clippers are those of Marcus Morris and Robert Covington. Wojnarowski notes that the Clippers are eager to complete the deal sooner rather than later, which would be beneficial to all parties involved.
To be frank, this offer may not be particularly pleasing to Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers. However, if it is indeed the best offer the 76ers have received, the clock is ticking for them to make a decision. James Harden reportedly has a strong preference to join the Clippers and is currently on a one-year contract, making him a challenging asset to trade. A disgruntled star with a reputation for leaving, especially on an expiring contract, is not something any team would be willing to trade their valuable assets for. The only similar instance was the trade for Kawhi Leonard, who was in the prime of his career and led the Toronto Raptors to an NBA Championship.
Time is of the essence for the Philadelphia 76ers and James Harden, while the LA Clippers are in a waiting game.
