LeBron James has received a warning for the next season after the Los Angeles Lakers’ appalling preseason performance. The Lakers’ preseason was a complete disaster, and LeBron has been forewarned of the “issues” he may have this year.
The Lakers’ previous year was unimpressive, and their 0.402 win % prevented them from making the playoffs. But after suffering a humiliating 75-105 loss to the Sacramento Kings to open their preseason campaign, it appears that they may be in for yet another unsuccessful season.
The Kings haven’t made the playoffs in NBA history and had a worse overall record than the Lakers last year. However, James has been told there is no improvement after humiliating the Lakers on Monday, which will worry the 37-year-old.
LeBron James is a four-time NBA Champion. He has little more to prove in his career and may retire with happiness when the time comes. However, it doesn’t alter the fact that he is still driven to succeed and is a natural winner. But after yet another subpar performance, James has been forewarned that it might be business as usual for the Lakers. Lakers have witnessed a marked decline since their championship triumph in 2020.
Shannon Sharpe Warns LA and LeBron James
“I don’t want to overreact because it’s the preseason and these players are trying to acquire some conditioning, but everything looks to be a struggle again,” Shannon Sharpe remarked on Undisputed after criticizing the Lakers’ subpar preseason performance. Like last year, everything seems to be a battle.
“They don’t get a lot of cheap baskets they don’t get out and transition, so to be short, I don’t see a 60-win team. As I said, it’s only one preseason game, I think they have four or five more to go, and we will see how they take shape. LeBron was zero from seven on the floor last night, but I’m not too concerned about him. But right now, I see more problems with the Lakers than plusses.”
