Lillard Leads Bucks in Giannis’ Absence

The Houston Rockets secured a spot in the NBA Cup quarter-finals by defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 115-111 in an exciting overtime game. Alperen Sengun guided the team with a triple-double of 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists, with Fred VanVleet contributing 27 points.
Reserve player Amen Thompson was pivotal, evening the score near the end of regulation and igniting an 11-0 overtime streak. Anthony Edwards scored 29 points for the Timberwolves, but they were unable to overcome Houston’s strong team play.
Suns Dominate Lakers, Spurs Keep Fighting
Phoenix Suns players Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal came back to play, teaming up with Devin Booker in a 127-100 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. Booker scored 26 points, while Durant and Beal each contributed 23 points.
At the same time, Victor Wembanyama scored 34 points to help the San Antonio Spurs defeat Utah 128-115, knocking the Jazz out of the running.
