Japanese point guard Yuki Kawamura is swiftly winning over the affection of Memphis Grizzlies supporters. After Derrick Rose’s recent retirement, Memphis required more depth at the point guard position, and Kawamura’s addition has addressed that need. Initially signed on an Exhibit 10 agreement, Kawamura’s impressive performance in training camp secured him a two-way contract, enabling him to divide his time between the Grizzlies and the G-League’s Memphis Hustle.

Who is Yuki Kawamura?

Originating from Yamaguchi, Japan, 23-year-old Kawamura began his path to the NBA at a young age.
