The Memphis Grizzlies and head coach Taylor Jenkins have agreed to a multi-year contract extension, although the entire terms of the deal were not made public due to company policy.

Good Track Record
During his third season as head coach, Jenkins guided the Grizzlies to a franchise-record tying 56-26 performance and a playoff series win for the first time in seven years. He was also voted Coach of the Year after leading the NBA’s second-youngest group to the league’s second-best record.
“Taylor has done an amazing job leading our teams and this extension is well deserved” Grizzlies EVP of Basketball Operations and General Manager Zachary Z. Kleiman said in a release from Grizzlies PR. “The year-over-year progress under Taylor speaks for itself, but his growth-oriented, selfless and competitive approach has been a driving force in the establishment of a sustainable culture. We have full confidence that Taylor will steer us to Memphis’ first championship.”
Jaren Jackson Jr. has already signed a long-term contract with the Grizzlies, and they want to do the same with Ja Morant this offseason. Jenkins will be the Grizzlies’ coach for the future, alongside their youthful stars, as a result of this arrangement.
