Jaylen Marselles Brown is an American professional basketball player, currently playing for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Having played only one year of college basketball for the California Golden Bears, he was named Pac-12 Conference’s first-team all-conference and Freshman of the Year. After declaring for the 2016 NBA draft after that season, he was chosen third overall by the Celtics. He has spent his professional career alternating between shooting guard and small forward. For the first time in his career, he was named to the NBA All-Star team in 2021.

Brown’s career-best season came to an end with only four regular-season games remaining due to a torn scapholunate ligament in his left wrist, which necessitated wrist surgery.
