The basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal has listed his luxury property near Sunset Park for sale. According to real estate advisors, the two-story house has been “fully renovated,” sits on more than an acre of land, and includes a circular driveway, modified cabinetry, “spacious” grounds, a putting green, a new pool, and a casita. With an asking price of $3 Million, buyers will come up with counter offers to close the deal.
A well-known realtor Corcoran Global Living announced on Monday that Stacy Conner, vice president of their sports and entertainment division has the listing for Shaquille O’Neal’s residence.
Corcoran addressed the release: “This is an extraordinary property with incredible attention to detail and appointments for a luxurious and elegant lifestyle.”
Conner said on Wednesday that not every high-end customer requires a modern property in Southern Nevada, but that her new offering has had “quite a bit” of attention.
The property market in Las Vegas has seen a decline in sales recently as interest rates have risen and prices have continued to rise to unimaginable heights. Luxury residences account for a small percentage of all purchases in the area and attract wealthy buyers, though Conner said she has experienced a slight decline in her business in relation to last year’s buying surge.
Shaquille O’Neal became the first overall NBA draft pick and played for over 20 years in the league and racked up multiple awards, All-Star Game collections, and other accolades during his tenure.
In 2016, he was nominated to the Basketball Hall of Fame.
He was renowned for his powerful dunks and free-throw striking on the floor. Off the court, he featured in different films throughout the years, such as the 1997 box-office flop “Steel,” which the Phoenix Film Festival dubbed “possibly the worst superhero movie ever created” in its summary of Shaq’s five poorest flicks.
