After being surprisingly left off the All-NBA team this year, Jaylen Brown had a message for the voters who did not select him on Wednesday night. Jaylen Brown scored 40 points in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals helped the Boston Celtics secure a 126-110 win against the Indiana Pacers, giving them a 2-0 series lead.

Focus Beyond Awards

When asked about not being included in the All-NBA team, Brown mentioned that he had bigger priorities than awards in the regular season. He mentioned that they were only a couple of games from reaching the Finals. Truly, I don’t have the time to worry. Whether intentionally or accidentally, Brown’s case for All-NBA was displayed to the worldwide audience at the perfect time.

The self-assured and commanding shooting guard took 17 shots within the 3-point line, 10 shots beyond the arc, and 11 shots from the free-throw line, all while equaling his highest career playoff scoring record. He equaled his highest career playoff points for a quarter by scoring 17 points in the second quarter.

Brown clarified that he was employing an aggressive approach with his scoring technique. Hoping to switch to a high-tempo style of play. Aimed to focus on their smaller guards to put on the pressure, attack the basket, and provoke fouls.

Aggressive Scoring Tactics

Brown maintained an offensive stance throughout the whole season, making it nothing out of the ordinary for him. Scoring an average of 23.0 points per game was a notable feat, especially since he shares the court with top scorers Jayson Tatum and Kristaps Porzingis. Additionally, he reached a career-high shooting percentage of 49.9 percent.

The All-NBA Third Team chose Tyrese Haliburton over Brown for the All-NBA Third Team. JB scored four times more points than Indy’s point guard naturally. It is important to note that Haliburton had to leave the match in the third quarter due to a tight hamstring, however, prior to that Brown had outscored him, 31 points to 10.

However, Brown did not intend to make a personal statement. This was all about demonstrating how his impact led to successful outcomes. And that is just one of the numerous qualities that head coach Joe Mazzulla appreciates in him.

Using that technique, Jaylen Brown has achieved his maximum performance with 40 points. In the first game, he emerged as the hero for his vital contributions on both offense and defense during the final moments of regulation. During Game 2, it was evident that he was the most dominant player on the court. Additionally, his team is just two wins away from clinching a place in the NBA Finals.
