Giannis Antetokounmpo achieved a historic milestone with his first-ever 40-point triple-double, leading the Milwaukee Bucks to a 124-114 win against the Washington Wizards. The Greek Freak amazed with 42 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists, securing his third triple-double in the past six games.

The Bucks’ sixth straight win solidified their position in the Eastern Conference standings. Even though he didn’t play in the NBA Cup game versus the Miami Heat last week, Giannis displayed a strong performance on offense and defense without any signs of rust.

Wizards’ Highlights and Struggles

The Wizards saw flashes of success thanks to Jonas Valančiūnas, who provided 16 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Despite struggling offensively and only scoring seven points on 2-for-8 shooting, rookie Alexandre Sarr created excitement by making a highlight-worthy defensive play by blocking Giannis.

Vasilije Micic Shines for Hornets

During another game in the Eastern Conference, Vasilije Micic had an impressive performance for the Charlotte Hornets, showing his best game of the season. The ex-EuroLeague MVP tallied 15 points, eight rebounds, and five assists in a narrow 107-104 defeat against the Atlanta Hawks. In the absence of LaMelo Ball, Micic took on a larger role. Furthermore, logging 35 minutes and converting 50% of his shots.

Outstanding performances were also observed throughout the league that night. The Philadelphia 76ers won against the Detroit Pistons 111-96, and the Phoenix Suns beat the Golden State Warriors 113-105. The Dallas Mavericks clinched a 106-94 win against the Utah Jazz.
