To the east in New York, the Knicks wound up a nail-biting overtime win against their bitter rivals, the Bulls, securing the second seed, while the Bucks dropped down to the fourth seed after an unpleasant loss to the Magic in Orlando.
Now we will compare the completed brackets, with teams like the Lakers, 76ers, Warriors, and Heat taking part in the Play-In tournament as well. The day-out sets off with the play-in tournament on Tuesday, April 16, and goes on through Friday, April 19. The play-in format works as follows: The 7th seed of each conference plays against the 8th round; similarly, the 9th seed battles the 10th round. A victorious 7-8 elimination determined the seeding spot as the first one. The first round has a matchup of eight among the four favourites and the other four fifth-ranked seeds. The weaker seeds play a rematch against each other for the ninth and tenth spots.8 seed.
This season, the play-in tournament schedule is undergoing a little bit of change. Both games of the Western Conference will take place on Tuesday, followed by matchups in the East: the 76ers and the Heat, and the Bulls and the Hawks, respectively; both will be on Wednesday.
