The Golden State Warriors defeated the Washington Wizards 104-95 to win the 2022 Japan Games. Even with turnover problems throughout the restricted minutes, the Warriors’ starters were always going to look well-groomed.

However, evaluating the youthful talent on exhibit was crucial. In the Warriors’ preseason victory over the Wizards, three young players stood out, and their names are as follows:

Patrick Baldwin Jr.

After missing out on Summer League in July, Patrick Baldwin Jr. was a bit of a mystery. Knowing what to anticipate was difficult because she hadn’t seen him in months. In the games versus The Wizards, he displayed his talent. He didn’t do much in the opening match, scoring just seven points on one made 3-pointer.

In game 2, he was much more focused and scored 12 points while showcasing his talent for making 3-pointers. He made four of his five long-range shots, demonstrated his ability to rebound, and performed numerous other small tasks to increase his playing time. Baldwin turned in an excellent all-around performance, and it appears that the Warriors will value his services this year.

James Wiseman

In the two games, Wiseman demonstrated his talents as well. He was a little bit different than Baldwin Jr. in that he performed well in game one but less so in game two. In the opening game, Wiseman displayed exceptional efficiency by going 8 for 11 from the field. He showed his superior game by scoring 20 points and coming close to a double-double with 9 rebounds.

He had trouble shooting from the field in game 2, however, going just two for seven. However, it was incredibly exhilarating to watch him smash a three. He had a fantastic frame and displayed incredible speed. He is physically in the right place, and if he keeps spacing the floor, Golden State will have a very deep roster.

Moses Moody

Moses Moody was excellent as well, demonstrating why he will be a crucial component for the Warriors moving ahead. With the manner he finished off game 2, he stood out the most. He was excellent offensively, especially in the fourth quarter, making big shots. However, he had trouble shooting in the first game, going only two for six from the field and one for four from three.

In game 2, he made up for it with a strong second half. He ultimately shot five out of ten from the field and two out of five from beyond the arc. In the final minutes, he made big shots for the Warriors and scored important buckets from all over the court. He undoubtedly proved that he could perform well in important matches.

Overall, all three players performed admirably, and being a fan of the Warriors at this time is really exciting. Especially, given the astronomical amount of young talent on the team and the core group that will contend for another title this year.
