Sylvia Fowles was absent from the Minnesota Lynx’s 86-79 loss against the Connecticut Sun on Sunday night. The experienced Veteran missed the match due to a knee injury. The loss put them further back in the standings for the WNBA playoffs.
Fowles first hurt her knee on June 9 when she played against the New York Liberty. She has managed it well ever since she came back on June 23. The Lynx star’s season averages have been 15 points and 9.8 rebounds. The outburst occurs as the Lynx try to secure their 12th straight playoff position.

On Sunday night, Natisha Hiedeman scored 19 points while Brionna Jones added 18 points. Alyssa Thomas contributed a double-double to help the Connecticut Sun defeat the Minnesota Lynx 86-79.
Hiedeman led Connecticut with five assists and five 3-pointers made (19-9). Thomas ended the game with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Jones pulled down 8 rebounds. Jones scored 11 points in the opening period to help the Sun lead 42-32 at the break.
With 4:40 remaining in the third quarter, Moriah Jefferson made a basket and 1 of 2 free throws to give Minnesota a 47-46 lead.
