Indiana Pacer guard Tyrese Haliburton disclosed that during the Bucks-Pacers playoff game one at Milwaukee, some people hurled racial slurs at one of his brothers who was amongst the crowd. Although Fiserv Forum employees were notified of the fan in question, their staff, however, refused to eject the fan from the game, even though he denied the accusation.

The matter was brought to an end without any further increase in hostilities, and the Bucks promised that being a safe fan environment was their focus.

It is an unfortunate event, as several other controversies with fans in Milwaukee previously involved players such as Russell Westbrook and Draymond Green. However, during the game when they were playing in Milwaukee, they were both faced with the fans threatening them and the use of inappropriate behaviour.

In the third and following game, most likely to determine the opener, the series is tied at 1-1 with the Pacers hosting the Bucks.
