The NBA has unveiled its comprehensive schedule for the 2023-24 season, which encompasses a wide array of exciting matchups and events. Here’s a breakdown of the key highlights:
The 78th NBA regular season commences on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, and concludes on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Following that, the 2024 NBA Play-In Tournament runs from Tuesday, April 16, to Friday, April 19, ushering in the commencement of the 2024 NBA Playoffs presented by Google Pixel on Saturday, April 20. The first game of the 2024 NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV is scheduled for Thursday, June 6.
The regular-season schedule encompasses defined dates and opponents for 80 of each team’s 82 games, with the remaining two games marked as TBD (To Be Determined). These TBD games, scheduled for the week of December 4, will be determined based on the results of Group Play games in the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament, with the Group Play game schedule running from November 3 to November 28.
The season kicks off with a bang during Kia NBA Tip-Off 2023, spanning the first five days from October 24 to October 28, featuring 10 national television games across TNT, ESPN, and NBA TV. These games will showcase 14 different teams, with matchups including rematches from the 2023 NBA Playoffs and star-studded rosters.

NBA Rivals Week, a yearly highlight, will spotlight classic and emerging rivalries across 11 nationally televised games from January 23 to January 27. The week will culminate with a tripleheader on ABC, featuring exciting matchups between fierce competitors.
The NBA continues its commitment to civic engagement by not scheduling games on Election Day (Tuesday, November 7), encouraging fans and the broader NBA community to participate in the democratic process.
All 30 teams will participate in the final day of the regular season on Sunday, April 14.
