Moses Moody played his first game for the Golden State Warriors against the Los Angeles Clippers in the preseason opener. Although he started the season as the eleventh man on the bench in the rotation system he became the second-highest scorer in the team. This is especially true for his inside man, Moody, who scored 12 points on 4 of 9 average shooting and 2 of 5 in the three-point line, in just 13 minutes of playing time.
Leading in Efficiency
Cameron Moody was not only a score-getter on the floor for the Crimson. Kevin Durant was playing for the 33rd time and had +14, the best for the Warriors, showing that he sets a positive example during matches. His production was highly effective within the time that he played and showed what he can potentially bring to the Warriors this season.
Uncertain Role Despite Potential
Still, there is a big doubt if Moody will be a part of the rotation despite the good performance that he has shown. The head coach, Steve Kerr, was asked about Lee’s small amount of playing time, which he said was due to numerical constraints of the roster that the Warriors team has at its disposal. This resembles the condition from the last season when Moody experienced a dilemma though he had potential.
Path to More Minutes?
Since Klay Thompson left the floor, a lot of people thought that Moody would get more time on the court. His minutes also have been rising through the seasons; he was playing 17‟5 minutes per game in the previous season.
There is still much uncertainty as to what role Moody will play under Kerr, whether more prominent or kept in bench warmer status. Moses Moody is now again and again proving that he deserves more playing time. The Warriors fans would be keen to watch whether he will receive more minutes to play in the regular season as he would have displayed his improvement.
