On Friday at Cox Pavilion, the Orlando Magic won against the Cleveland Cavaliers with a score of 106-79 in the NBA 2K25 Summer League.

Strong Start for the Magic

The Magic took the lead early on with a 36-21 score in the first quarter, paving the way for a comfortable win. At the midpoint of the game, Orlando was ahead 62-41 and increased their lead to 35 points in the final quarter. The Magic made 47.4% of their field goals and 37.8% of their 3-pointers, compared to the Cavaliers shooting 39.7% from the field and 18.8% from beyond the arc.

Magic’s Key Performers

Jett Howard was the top scorer for the Magic, scoring 22 points while also grabbing two rebounds and dishing out four assists. Anthony Black chipped in with 20 points, as well as three rebounds, assists, and steals. Jay Huff contributed 16 points and six rebounds, and Tristan da Silva added 13 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Their combined endeavors led to Orlando’s impressive performance.

Cavaliers’ Highlights

Emoni Bates scored 20 points and grabbed three rebounds to lead the Cavaliers. Jaylon Tyson came next, scoring 15 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Craig Porter Jr. contributed 10 points, two assists, and two steals, while Pete Nance supplied eight points, seven rebounds, and two blocks. Even though they tried hard, Cleveland found it challenging to match Orlando’s strong offense and defense.
