The Cleveland Cavaliers are rewriting history, leaving the NBA world in awe. With a dominating 128-114 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday night, the Cavs 15-0 start has solidified their position as the Eastern Conference leaders, proving that they are a force to be reckoned with.

Cavs 15-0 Start: Are They the Team to End the Warriors’ Record?

Darius Garland, the 24-year-old guard, was the standout player of the night, not just scoring 25 points but also dishing out 12 assists. It wasn’t a one-man show, though. Ty Jerome, another guard for the Cavaliers, dropped 24 points, and Evan Mobley posted a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Not to be outdone, Jarrett Allen contributed 21 points and pulled down 15 rebounds, rounding out a dominant performance.

On the Hornets’ side, it was LaMelo Ball who stole the spotlight, dropping 31 points and assisting on 12 others. But despite his efforts, the Hornets could not overcome Cleveland’s balanced attack. Miles Bridges chipped in 19 points, while Josh Green, Grant Williams, and Brandon Miller all contributed 15 points each, but it wasn’t enough.

This remarkable win puts the Cavaliers in rare company. They’ve joined the exclusive list of NBA teams that have won their first 15 games, a feat only achieved previously by the Golden State Warriors (2016), Houston Rockets (1994), and Washington Capitols (1949). But the Cavs have their eyes on something bigger than just joining the history books—they want to be the next team to break the Warriors’ record of 24-0.

For Cleveland, this is more than a hot streak. The Cavaliers have their sights set on the NBA Finals, and with the defending champions, the Boston Celtics, up next in a high-stakes matchup, the pressure is only building. Can they maintain this perfect run? Or will the Celtics bring their dream season crashing down to earth?
