Andre Jamal Drummond is an American professional basketball player, currently playing for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected with the ninth overall pick by the Detroit Pistons, in the first round of the 2012 NBA draft.
Drummond was a top-rated high school basketball player in 2011 and played one season of collegiate basketball with the Connecticut Huskies before committing to the NBA. In 2013, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team with the Detroit Pistons, and in 2016, he was named to his first All-Star team. In 2020, he was dealt with by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He joined the Los Angeles Lakers for the remainder of the 2020–21 season after reaching a buyout agreement with Cleveland in 2021. Drummond has consistently been near the top of the league in rebounding. He was a member of the 2014 U.S. national team, which won the FIBA Basketball World Cup gold medal.
